What are the qualifications to be under the programs?
Here at Texas Racing School, we have a pretty straightforward set of rules when it comes to who can and cannot enroll in our programs:
(1) No prior racing experience is required.
(2) Individual should be in good physical condition.
(3) Due to safety reasons, driving the stock cars on tracks are restricted to those who are 6’5” tall, and those who are under 275 lbs.
(4) Participants should be 18 years old, with a valid driver’s license.
How do I purchase a gift certificate?
Texas Racing School can only issue a limited number of gift certificates, so reservations are required. Book for any of our programs as early as you can.
What are your office hours?
Our Customer Service Department is available 7 days a week!
What type of car will I be driving when I book for a racecar driving package?
The good thing about participating in the programs of Texas Racing School is that you can drive Sprint Cup Series-type stock cars and full-sized, Indy-style race cars.
What kind of clothing should I have on? Any racing gear that I need to purchase beforehand?
Wear casual, comfortable clothes, closed shoes (tennis shoes are recommended) and the thickness of your clothing should be weather-appropriate. There is no need to purchase any racing gear beforehand, Texas Racing School will provide everything that you need.
Is it okay to eat before my driving lessons?
Yes, limit your food intake to something simple and lightweight.
Can I bring a friend/family member to watch?
Definitely! Texas Racing School encourages that you share your racecar driving experience with friends and family members.
Can I take pictures or videos?
Yes, you can take pictures and videos for posterity before the ride and during your training – but they are not permitted during the actual racing experience.
Is passing allowed?
Yes, there are several racing experiences which permit passing.
What is the maximum speed for driving racecars?
Can you believe that you can get to experience driving speeds as close to 200mph? Although there is no guarantee that every driver who enrolls in the programs that we offer can reach such speeds – there is absolutely nothing wrong in aspiring to reach them. After all, the adrenaline rush from high-speed driving is your primary goal in enrolling at a racecar driving program.
